Hostess Provisions was founded by Nicole Elliott and Meta Adler on the idea of redefining the art of entertaining for the modern hostess to be effortless, whimsical, and classic. We believe that great parties require just a few essential ingredients: a spread of delectable snacks and nibbles, flowing cocktails and wine, great friends, and completed with the perfect hostess gift. Our mission is to provide our clients with curated gifts and entertaining experiences that tell the story of our home, the Hostess City. We hope we can inspire you to entertain.
Meet the Founders
Nicole Elliott
Nicole was born and raised in Baltimore and spent most of her young life surrounded by a big family who loved to cook. From pickling to crabbing, and always started Sundays with strawberry pancakes. This is where her love for entertaining began.
After graduating she had an itch to give the west coast a try. She fell in love with Los Angeles and spent most of her career working in the events industry. She worked as the event producer at Warner Brother’s Studio and also as a freelancer. From executing an 8-course dinner at Elton John’s Oscar Party, to stage managing the Daytime Emmys, when it comes to events Nicole has been there done that and is always excited to share her knowledge.
Next, Nicole’s roots in the East Coast started to call and on a trip to Savannah she fell in love with the city. She couldn’t wait to pack her bags and make the trek across the country to move there. Here, she became The Director of Operations at The Grey Restaurant. In this role, she helped build the brand nationally and internationally, while managing the day to day operations of the business from staff training, vendor and contract coordination, and assisting in menu creation.
When Nicole is not working, she can be found swimming at the beach or walking her dog Willy at the park. She will never turn down a Bourbon Cocktail or anything seafood related, she may fight you for blue crabs. Her bar is always stocked and snacks are abundant. Whether you come unannounced or invited she is ready to hostess!.
META ADLER
An eighth generation Savannahian, Meta began her culinary career at tender age of three when she lectured her grandmother on the proper way to make grits and she has been getting into culinary adventures ever since. While studying for the MCAT after college, she started her first private chef and catering company, Two Moons Catering as a side hustle to earn some extra cash. Soon the phone was ringing off the hook and clients were booking events left and right. In 2013, she opened Dept. 7 East, a bistro and wine bar inspired by the culinary history of her Savannah roots. She has since shut the doors to her restaurant, but returned to catering and events, working with top local talents as a freelancer. She also specializes in Food and Prop Styling for print, video, and digital media. Her clients include Paula Deen, Hoffman Media, and Savannah Magazine. A philanthropist at heart, Meta serves as Chair of Historic Savannah Foundation’s, 13th Colony and Alzheimer’s Association Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia Gala, among other non-profit organizations.
When Meta is not working, you can find her at her family farm in South Carolina, foraging for chanterelles and all sorts of edible wild plants, and entertaining friends on farm adventures. She has never meet a vegetable she didn’t like, and thinks French fries and bubbles are a perfectly acceptable dinner. Her spirit animal is a Fox and her nick name is Sassafras.
