Hostess Seasoned Butter Crackers
Saltine Crackers coated in melted butter and seasoned up with a variety of spices might just be one of the most iconic and delicious party snacks around the South. The variety of recipes are endless and they go by names of Comeback Crackers and Southern Fire Crackers, but around here we call them Hostess Seasoned. We make ours mini and use Oyster Crackers tossed in butter and seasoned with our Pickled Shrimp Seasoning Blend. They are ready in 10 minutes and will likely be gone just as fast! Serve them by the bar at your cocktail party, while hosting friends for happy hour or as a garnish for a steaming creamy bowl of chowder or seafood stew. You can even package and tie them up with a festive ribbon for a quick Holiday Gift for unexpected visitors.
Hostess Seasoned Butter Crackers
Makes 9 ounces
1 - 9 ounce bag Oyster Crackers
1/2 stick Unsalted Butter, Melted
1 tablespoon Pickled Shrimp Seasoning
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together oyster crackers, melted butter and Pickled Shrimp seasoning until thoroughly combined.
Place on a non-stick cookie tray in a single layer.
Bake for 10 minutes until lightly browned and fragrant.
